As well as an undergarment, the bra is considered a foundation garment because of its role in shaping the wearer's figure. It was originally developed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries to replace the corset, and has now become, in many parts of the world, the standard method for supporting a woman's breasts.

Biel landed her first feature film role, playing Peter Fonda's granddaughter in the critically-acclaimed drama Ulee's Gold, released in 1997. Her performance earned her a Young Artist Award. In spring 1998, during a break from filming 7th Heaven, Biel starred in the holiday movie I'll Be Home for Christmas, playing opposite Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

In 2000, during the fourth season of 7th Heaven, Biel commented that she grew tired of playing the wholesome preacher's kid, and blamed the show for giving her a squeaky-clean image, which caused her to lose out on a role in American Beauty (the part went to Thora Birch). In a last ditch attempt to be let out of her contract, she posed semi-nude for the cover of Gear magazine. Fans and producers of 7th Heaven were outraged, and the shoot also sparked a lot of controversy, as Biel was still a minor at the time, but Aaron Spelling made it clear that Biel would be staying with the show until her contract was due to expire (although, she appeared in minimal episodes in season five, due to her attending college out of state). She has now claimed that she regrets the Gear shoot, but considers it a learning experience.

Girls in Skirts at the ATM

A skirt is a tube- or cone-shaped garment that hangs from the waist and covers all or part of the legs.
In European culture, skirts are usually considered women's clothing. However, there are exceptions. The kilt is a traditional men's garment in Scotland, and some fashion designers, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, have shown men's skirts.
At its simplest, a skirt can be a draped garment made out of a single piece of material (such as pareos), but most skirts are fitted to the body at the waist and fuller below, with the fullness introduced by means of dart, gores, pleats, or panels. Modern skirts are usually made of light to mid-weight fabrics, such as denim, jersey, worsted, or poplin. Skirts of thin or clingy fabrics are often worn with slips to make the material of the skirt drape better and for modesty.

The hemline of skirts can be as high as the upper thigh or as low as the ground, depending on the whims of fashion and the modesty or personal taste of the wearer.
Some medieval upper-class women wore skirts over three metres in diameter at the bottom. At the other extreme, the miniskirts of the 1960s were minimal garments that may have barely covered the underwear when seated.
Costume historians typically use the word "petticoat" to describe skirt-like garments of the 18th century or earlier.

Funny Video - Frost Bitten - from Dentyne Gum

Dentyne is a series of brands of chewing gum available in several countries globally. It is owned by Cadbury Adams, a division of Cadbury.

In 1899, a New York City druggist named Franklin V. Canning formulated a chewing gum which he promoted as an aid to oral hygiene. "To prevent decay, To sweeten the breath, To keep teeth white," read the package. Mr. Canning called his new gum Dentyne which is a combination of the words "dental" and "hygiene." In 1916 the brand was sold to the American Chicle Company.

By the 1930s, Dentyne was produced by the Adams Gum Company. Adams was one of the companies that made up the American Chicle Company.

Eventually ownership passed to Warner-Lambert Company which merged into Pfizer Inc. in 2000, and most recently to Cadbury-Schweppes.
A sugarless gum available in several flavors, all "intense" mints. Currently available flavors include "Peppermint", "Arctic Chill", "Spearmint", "Shiver Mint", "Vanilla Frost", "Cool Frost", "Wild Winter" and "Mint Medley". Dentyne Ice gum should not be confused with Dentyne Ice mints. Newer U.S. packages have omitted the "Ice" name on them.

Outside of the U.S., products available include additional flavors and are packaged differently. In the Thai market, for instance, the "Dentyne Ice" package carries nine gum pellets instead of twelve, and is available in such flavors as "Mentholyptus" (extremely strong, similar to coughdrop mint flavor), "Midnight Mint," (a version of "Arctic Chill") and Cherry (similar to a cherry mouthwash flavor.)

Chick Drunk at Bar last weekend in Nylon tights

If you’re an L.A. blogger, chances are you turned up at the Library Bar last night for the free beer tasting hosted by the sassy Christina Perozzi, the Beer Chick and the genius creator of the LB’s scrumptious beer list. And if you did, I wish I met you but as it was I spent most of my time sitting at the bar trying to be the good beer student by going through the tastings and marking up my “library cards” with notes.

The cards were done up in the style of the ones you used to find (or still find? — I haven’t been to the library in ages) in library books to check said books out. But instead of date stamps and the names of borrowers, these provided information about the eight beers on hand for the tasting; things like a brief history and flavor notes in the beer

Coca Cola - It's mine - awesome video

Coca-Cola is a carbonated soft drink sold in stores, restaurants and vending machines internationally. The Coca-Cola Company claims that the beverage is sold in more than 200 countries. It is produced by The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia, and is often referred to simply as Coke (a now genericized trademark) or (in European and American countries) as cola, pop, or in some parts of the U.S., soda. Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.

The company produces concentrate, which is then sold to licensed Coca-Cola bottlers throughout the world. The bottlers, who hold territorially exclusive contracts with the company, produce finished product in cans and bottles from the concentrate in combination with filtered water and sweeteners. The bottlers then sell, distribute and merchandise Coca-Cola to retail stores and vending machines. Such bottlers include Coca-Cola Enterprises, which is the largest single Coca-Cola bottler in North America and western Europe. The Coca-Cola Company also sells concentrate for soda fountains to major restaurants and food service distributors.

Beverage can designed to hold a single serving of a beverage

The early metal beverage can was made out of steel, similar to a tin can, and had no pull-tab. Instead, it was opened by a can piercer, a device resembling a bottle opener with a sharp point. The can was opened by punching two triangular holes in the lid — a large one for drinking, and a smaller one to admit air. This type of opener is sometimes referred to as a churchkey. As early as 1936, inventors were applying for patents on self-opening can designs, but the technology of the time made these inventions impractical.
The first all-aluminum cans, like their steel forebears, required use of a can opener. Mikola Kondakow of Thunder Bay, Ontario invented the pull tab version for bottles in 1956 [Canadian patent 476789]. Then, in 1962, Ermal Cleon Fraze of Dayton, Ohio, invented the similar integral rivet and pull-tab version (also known as rimple or ring pull), which had a ring attached at the rivet for pulling, and which would come off completely to be discarded. He received U.S. Patent No. 3,349,949 for his pull-top can design in 1963 and licensed his invention to Alcoa and Pittsburgh Brewing Company, the latter of which first introduced the design on Iron City Beer cans. The first soft drinks to be sold in all-aluminum cans were R.C. Cola and Diet-Rite Cola, both made by the Royal Crown Cola company, in 1964.
The pull-tabs, however, detached easily and were occasionally swallowed accidentally by users. The New England Journal of Medicine reported a case of one person inhaling a pull-tab that had broken off and dropped into the can. The design of the pull-tabs was addressed by Daniel F. Cudzik of Reynolds Metals, who in 1975 developed stay tabs (also called colon tabs). This design would prevent injuries and reduce roadside litter caused by removable tabs, and involves utilizing a scored lid with a pull-tab. The pull-tab can be leveraged to push the scored region into the can, opening up a hole. By the early 1980s, stay tabs had nearly completely replaced pull-tabs in much of the world. However, pull-tabs are still common in places such as China and the Middle East.

Circus Star Cooks Easy Potatoes Standing On Her Head

Circus star cooks potatoes while standing on her head for "lovepotatoes". Must be seen to be believed.

Antarctica's Dry Valleys, with their barren gravel-strewn floors, are said to be the most similar place on Earth to Mars. Its fascinating landscape, located within Victoria Land west of McMurdo Sound, get almost no snowfall, and except for a few steep rocks they are the only continental part of Antarctica devoid of ice. The terrain looks like something not of this Earth; the valley’s floor occasionally contains a perennially frozen lake with ice several meters thick. Under the ice, in the extremely salty water, live mysterious simple organisms, a subject of on-going research.

This island simply blows away any notion about what is considered “normal” for a landscape on Earth, you’d be inclined to think you were transported to another planet - or traveled to another era of Earth’s history. Socotra Island, which is part of a group of four islands, has been geographically isolated from mainland Africa for the last 6 or 7 million years. Like the Galapagos Islands, the island is teeming with 700 extremely rare species of flora and fauna, a full 1/3 of which are endemic.

The climate is harsh, hot and dry, and yet - the most amazing plant life thrives there. Situated in the Indian Ocean 250 km from Somalia and 340 km from Yemen, the wide sandy beaches rise to limestone plateaus full of caves (some 7 kilometers in length) and mountains up to 1525 meters high. The trees and plants of this island were preserved thru the long geological isolation, some varieties
being 20 million years old.
